About Me

This page is about me; now I feel like a narcissistic jerk. If you didn't know before, my name is LaVonia Holloway. Yes, with a capital "V"; I get really touchy about that so watch it. Haha, I'm just kidding. Anyway, I'm a freshman in college right now (18 years old and proud), at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. I was born and raised in the big, noisy urban heap we call New York City. I mean, I love New York but I'm not the type to like big crowds. And that's exactly what cities like this have. That doesn't mean I don't like the Big Son of an Apple. If someone gave it to me for free, I would proudly wear an "I <3 NY" t-shirt, or hat, or whatever.
I'm shy and quiet, and I find it much easier to get my words out on paper or by typing. I'm an artsy type, so I really, really, REALLY like drawing, writing (especially poetry), and music. I don't draw as much as I used to because my family seemed to have a problem with me drawing all the time, with all the papers and procrastinating on homework. I write and it's the same with the family, papers and procrastination. Now music I absolutely adore. I listen to 90s and 00s R&B (sometime 80s), some rap but not a lot, hip hop (which is NOT the same as rap [you can sing in hip hop like Rihanna, but you don't sing while rapping]), soft rock and pop rock, and probably some alternative like fun..
Personally I started this blog because I was curious as to what a blog was about. And I realized that dealing with blogs is extremely difficult. I want this blog to be about writing and art since I'm into creativity. Occasionally I may write something on songs or singers that I've taken a liking to (or not). In any case, I appreciate creativity and the like, and I hope my blog demonstrates that for you.
Anyway, you get the gist of my personality:  shy, artsy, quiet, and talks too much ;-P. (And I'm terrible at making About Pages.) For now, that's all you have have to know, I guess. If you're interested in any of my posts, feel free to post a comment. Also, I tend to run out of ideas a lot because I write so much.
